چکیده

The time dependent spectral renormalization (TDSR) method was introduced by Cole and Musslimani as a novel way to numerically solve initial boundary value problems. An important aspect of the TDSR scheme is its ability incorporate physics in form conservation laws or dissipation rate equations. However, limited include single conserved dissipative quantity. present work significantly extends computational features with (i) incorporation multiple and/or equations, (ii) enforce versatile conditions, (iii) higher order integration strategy. applied on several prototypical evolution equations physical significance. Examples Korteweg-de Vries (KdV), multi-dimensional nonlinear Schr\"odinger (NLS) Allen-Cahn

Time-Dependent Real-Space Renormalization Group Method

In this paper, using the tight-binding model, we extend the real-space renormalization group method to time-dependent Hamiltonians. We drive the time-dependent recursion relations for the renormalized tight-binding Hamiltonian by decimating selective sites of lattice iteratively. The formalism is then used for the calculation of the local density of electronic states for a one dimensional quant...

Conservation Laws shape Dissipation

Starting from the most general formulation of stochastic thermodynamics—i.e. a thermodynamically consistent nonautonomous stochastic dynamics describing systems in contact with several reservoirs—, we de€ne a procedure to identify the conservative and the minimal set of nonconservative contributions in the entropy production. Œe former is expressed as the di‚erence between changes caused by tim...

Systems of conservation laws with dissipation

2 Systems of conservation laws have the form ∂ t u+div x q = 0. They describe processes in many situations of the real life, including continuum mechanics. A system is in closed form when the flux q is given in terms of u. An algebraic equation of state q := f (u) yields a quasilinear first-order system. But a more accurate description involves a dissipative mechanism, through various additiona...

Aggregation with multiple conservation laws.

Irreversible aggregation processes underly many natural phenomena including, e. g., polymerization [1], gelation [2], island growth [3-4] and aerosols [5]. The classical rate theory of Smoluchowski describes the kinetics of such processes [6-9]. Recently, scaling [10-16] and exact [17-23] theoretical studies showed that spatial correlations play a crucial role in low dimensions. While the above...
